Aircraft Spirals Uncontrollably into Palm Fronds at Frequented Southern California Shoreline
An aircraft flying near a crowded California coastline unexpectedly commenced twirling out of control, ultimately losing altitude and plunging into a row of palm trees as onlookers observed.
Recordings posted on the internet show the helicopter beginning to twirl above Huntington Beach then descending towards the perimeter of the shore, where it ends up lodged between palms and a steps close to the coastal road.
Emergency Response Information
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five people were transported to a medical facility comprising two individuals who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” following the crash on Saturday.
Three persons on the pavement were injured. Specifics on their condition were still under review.
