Shocking Footage Shows Instant Law Enforcement Get Knifed in Surprise Attack

The Two Senior Officers Instants Before the Attacker Was Tasered

A police sergeant that leaped to the assistance of a colleague that was assaulted by a knifeman has been awarded the King's Commendation for Valor.

Sergeant Tim Ansell struggled against 27-yr-old Jacob Brown following he held a blade to the neck of his fellow officer Sgt Marc Foster.

Brown initiated the assault as the law enforcement personnel and their third officer, PC Marcus Wolstencroft, were talking to a driver after a road collision in the area in summer 2023.

Brown knifed and cut the two Sgt Ansell and Sergeant Foster prior to PC Wolstencroft stunned him with a stun gun.

"Officer stabbed," PC Wolstencroft stated over his radio.

Officer-mounted and vehicle camera footage released by the police department revealed Brown, that was clothed in dark clothing with a hood up, rush to Sergeant Foster from behind with a knife outstretched.

He collided with the officer who lost balance and went down to the street, before Sgt Ansell stepped in and struggled to restrain him to the ground even though being continually attacked with the knife.

Police Constable Wolstencroft Stunned the Assailant, Jacob Brown, with a Taser

Police Constable Wolstencroft drew his Taser and awaited a clear shot, ending the fight to an end.

Sgt Ansell stated audibly: "Please provide assistance on my throat here, I got knifed in the throat."

Sergeant Ansell received multiple deep cuts to his neck and additional injuries to his limbs and torso, whereas Sergeant Foster experienced slash wounds.

Authorities reported Sergeant Foster employed his hands to control his fellow officer's hemorrhaging prior to paramedics reached the scene.

The latest honor follows subsequent to the trio of policemen received departmental Courage Honors in late 2023 and the prestigious bravery honor from the regional officer association in spring 2024.

They were also awarded a Area Bravery Award in July 2024.

"The efforts of all three officers in the end saved themselves and resulted in no bystanders suffered any injuries."

Brown was given to an indefinite hospital order in April 2024, as stated by the department.
