British Airways revealed that the complimentary, “reliable and lightning-fast” wifi service from SpaceX will be offered to passengers flying economy, business, and first class as of the coming month.

Broad Rollout Over Multiple Airlines

The umbrella organization of British Airways, IAG, stated it had reached an agreement with Starlink to offer wifi coverage on more than 500 jets within the group's carriers, which also include Aer Lingus, the Spanish carrier, plus Vueling.

BA stated that this rollout for the technology was included in a £7bn “transformation” initiative and will provide smooth connectivity access for passengers starting at the gate to landing, even when in flight above oceans or isolated areas.
