Warning: Revealing details for the third episode of this adventure lie ahead.
The Warrior Group Revealed
The latest chapter finished on a huge suspense moment and presented the first table of adventurers who will separate from the primary party to undertake their independent quest, separate from the remaining groups.
The combat-focused team includes the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis), the agile character (Laura), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie).
Dividing the Cast
Given 13 cast members, it was evident from the outset that keeping everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
Hence, the opening chapters of the new season serve as an Prelude, connecting the characters’ stories before branching into three separate parties: Soldiers, Strategists, and Questers.
The Nature of the Soldiers Table
As described by Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for participants who enjoy a classically intense fight-heavy story mode where diplomatic options are rare.
Initially, characters like the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the developments of the latest installment show why these five characters are best suited for the warrior group.
Why They Must Go
To begin with, the team knows exactly where to go next after a brutal initial meeting with the enemy group.
Casimir of the deceased character—whose demise kicked off the campaign’s events—manipulated The Crow Keepers for his personal gain, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, striking Thimble, and swiping all the enchanted items to auction.
Casimir then settled his obligations and fled to a Halovar stronghouse in Gormalay, Timmony, above Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother pursuing him.
Personal Motivations
Additionally, each member has a specific drive to exit Dol-Makjar:
- Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and trusted friend, desires vengeance.
- Kattigan is familiar with the region and warns that it is a nasty location.
- The strong character and The cleric, having resisted his relatives’ demands to eliminate Teor and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
- Yet, their position as prominent individuals in House Halovar could enable the party enter areas they typically wouldn’t be able to.
- Moreover, The grateful character vowed a life debt to The savior for his rescue and will now follow him everywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Finally, all of them are sought by the rulers that govern the setting for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally dangerous:
- The agile adventurer and The hero are recognized lawbreakers.
- The strong figure and The healer turned against the powerful family and the legion of demons they are aligned with.
- Teor is marked for death by the family.
This results in them few options but to head to the northern region in search of the antagonist.
What’s Next?
Based on episode three’s Cooldown, we discover that the warrior group will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight participants to form the Seekers and Schemers groups.
